Crynodeb
Based in Markinch, Caramel & Crumbs is a cake/coffee shop who specialise in artisan baked goods. The shop offers food made and prepared in the on-site kitchen, barista style coffee and other beverages with both sit in and takeaway options. Caramel & Crumbs new team member will be required to assist and work independently in a kitchen baking a variety of products such as cakes, pastries, breads, traybakes, cheesecakes and smaller items. You will be responsible for your own work area in terms of housekeeping/dishwashing and additional housekeeping will also be required throughout the premises as part of a team responsibility. You will also be required to help out in the servery area at busy times, dealing with the public and serving food and drinks and operating the point of sale. Training will be given on both point of sale and barista duties.
Essential skills:
Experience working with baked goods/pastry/dough etc (can be formal or self taught)
Desirable skills:
Some previous experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred.
Barista experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
Experience working with kitchen equipment i.e. small appliances, cookers/ovens and beverage machines.
Skills working within a busy, fast paced environment with ability to multitask.
Creative skills are an advantage.

Wednesday to Saturday 9am-4.30pm TBC
Part time hours - 20-30 per week TBC
