Job Description: Foot Health Practitioner (FHP)
Location: Field-Based, London & Surrounding Areas (Travel between care homes and clinics)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Reports to: Administrative Manager
Salary: Competitive, based on experience + travel allowance
Job Purpose:
To deliver exceptional, compassionate foot care directly to clients in their care homes and at our clinics. As the face of Excellent Care 1st, you will uphold our highest standards of clinical excellence and patient service, ensuring every client receives care that improves their mobility and quality of life.

We specialise in bringing essential podiatry services directly to care home residents and private clients. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence:
Perform routine foot care, including nail cutting, filing, and the treatment of corns and calluses.
Conduct basic foot health assessments, identifying common foot pathologies and conditions.
Provide preventative foot care advice and education to clients and care home staff.
Maintain excellent manual dexterity and clinical technique to ensure safe and effective treatment.
Client Service & Communication:
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, care home managers, and staff.
Communicate effectively and empathetically with elderly and vulnerable clients.
Accurately record all clinical notes and treatment details using our Cliniko software system after each visit.
Operational Efficiency:
Manage your own diary and travel efficiently between appointments across London, following an optimized schedule provided by the Client & Scheduling Manager.
Punctually arrive at all appointments and proactively communicate any potential delays or issues.
Manage and maintain your own clinical kit and stock levels, reporting needs to management.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the administrative team to ensure a seamless client journey.
Escalate complex clinical cases or concerns to the senior podiatrist or management as per company protocols.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) or equivalent
Valid professional indemnity insurance.
Proven experience in providing routine foot care.
Understanding of common foot disorders and anatomy, knowing when to refer onwards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organised, punctual, and self-motivated, able to work autonomously.
Full, clean UK driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Right to work in the UK.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Criteria:
Experience working in care homes or a domiciliary setting.
Experience using Cliniko or similar practice management software.
Experience in conducting basic vascular and neurological assessments.
