Physical There is a requirement for frequent intense physical effort for short periods throughout the working day. Mental The post holder needs to be able to multi task while performing an activity. It is important to be able to keep track of several tasks at once due to the interruptions of others and the necessity to facilitate other mortuary users. Emotional Constant exposure to distressing and emotional situations. Dealing with angry, abusive and occasionally violent next of kin Dealing with those deceased known to the technician and their families. Dealing with the bereaved and their emotions. Dealing with multi faith requirements. Trauma, decomposed and child/baby deaths are routinely expected and dealt with accordingly. For further details please see the attached job description.
