Job Title: Support Worker

Rate of pay: £13.00 PH

Hours of Work: 10-12 Hours per week – across 3-5 days

Purpose of the Job:

I am looking for a support worker to assist me for 3-5 days per week, around 10-12 hours in total, but this can be flexible and discussed at the interview stage. I am an 82-year-old man living with arthritis, which can make some day to day tasks more difficult.
I am looking for someone to provide support with light domestic duties around the home, shopping and offer companionship and social interaction. I enjoy watching TV and following sports, particularly cricket and rugby.
You will be required to prompt me to take my medication and to assist me in maintaining a comfortable and safe home environment.

Driver preferred but not essential
Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the employer’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.
