Job title: Self-Employed Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire DY10

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 38-year-old male living in the Kidderminster area who is looking to recruit a Self-Employed Personal Assistant to provide support with daily living tasks.

Main duties:
Social duties:
 Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
 Walking the dog.
 Support to attend medical appointments.
 Do hobbies such as snooker, golf, swimming, badminton.
 Support to access the local community & social activities.

Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, meal planning/cooking sessions. Support with essential housework and housekeeping. Support with flat improvements.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Type of person that you/they are looking for:
 Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel and understands equality and diversity.

 Specific requirements: Someone with previous care and support worker experience. Experience of supporting with vulnerable individuals with Asperger's, Learning Difficulties and Anxiety.

Hours of work: 10 – 23 hours per week

Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 Full UK Driving Licence.
 Car and appropriate insurance.
 Previous experience.
 Must like dogs and be dog friendly.
 Able to guide and encourage with a positive & patient approach.
 Confidentiality.
 Good at building relationships.
 Good communicator.
 G good listener.
 ability to support people with complex support needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
