About the Role
Health MOT Officer
The successful candidate will
Deliver Healthy Workplace MOTs in commercial settings across Leicestershire and Rutland. Providing health checks to Business employees- supporting the development of healthier workforces and support workplaces to develop a workplace health strategy for their employees.
Ensure health and safety is a priority when delivering Health MOT’s including cholesterol and glucose checks.
Deliver health MOT in business and community settings which include blood pressure checks, cholesterol, glucose, bmi and weight.
Formulate and carry out patient-centred, goal orientated MOTs to support lifestyle changes utilising a variety of techniques and skills
Provide an overview of the findings to MOT recipients and offering information and advice, to other health and Public Health prevention services.
A DBS basic check for a regulated activity is required for this post

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
Experience of working in a face-to-face role with member of the public who may have a wide range of life challenges
Experience of Collaborative working across a wide range of disciplines
Have a good understanding of the councils Public Health and Central Governments recovery principals and plans
Ideally have knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for completing Health MOTS – including, COSH, Infection, Prevention and Control, PPE, transportation, moving & handling, risk assessments
Ability to coach, mentor and support Health Officers, members of the public who may be experiences life challenges.
There may be opportunities to work out of normal business hours depending on the services need.
The successful candidate would need to ideally hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
