Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to help lead their friendly early years team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated childcare professional who thrives on guiding others, ensuring excellence in care and education, and helping to shape the future of a thriving nursery setting.
The nursery is a family-centred, inclusive setting that places the wellbeing of children, families, and staff at its heart. The team is committed to creating a space where children feel safe, valued, and curious; where staff are supported, trusted, and encouraged to grow; and where families are welcomed as true partners in their child’s learning journey.
As Nursery Manager, you’ll have the autonomy and support to lead confidently, contribute your ideas, and make a lasting impact.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (Level 5 or above preferred).
- At least 2 years’ management experience within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong working knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding, and child development.
- Confident leader with proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a team.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Calm, reflective, and approachable leadership style with a genuine passion for early education.
What’s On Offer
- Part-time role (around 25 hours per week), with potential to increase hours as the nursery grows.
- Competitive salary: £20,000–£25,000.
- Additional leave and company pension scheme.
- Health and wellbeing support and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Free parking, snacks, and refreshments in the staff area.
- Birthday off, flexible hours when needed, and a generous bonus structure.
- Regular team events and an annual Christmas celebration to recognise and reward staff contributions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
- Inspire, support, and mentor the nursery team to deliver excellent early years practice.
- Maintain full compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, and safeguarding standards.
- Oversee planning, audits, staffing schedules, and resource management.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, promoting open communication and trust.
- Monitor and drive occupancy and business growth, contributing to the nursery’s development and reputation.
- Ensure accurate record keeping, health and safety compliance, and continuous improvement across all areas.
- Work collaboratively with the owners and leadership team to achieve shared goals.
Why join the service?
This is a chance to lead with purpose in a nursery that values empathy, trust, and collaboration. You’ll be encouraged to bring fresh ideas, shape the team culture, and work alongside supportive owners who are invested in your success.
