About the Company:
Our client, a leading manufacturing business in Wednesbury, is looking for a proactive Transport Planner / Production Planning Designate to join their operations team. This is a hands-on role where a confident, solution-oriented individual can make a real impact.

Role Overview:
This role involves rotating through key production planning areas: material planning, purchasing, production scheduling, and transport planning. The successful candidate will coordinate resources efficiently, ensure lead times are met, and drive improvements in both planning and transport processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand, inventory, and resource availability.

Coordinate with production teams to optimise the use of materials, labour, and equipment.

Plan and schedule transportation of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely delivery.

Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist with material procurement.

Identify production or transport issues, propose practical solutions, and escalate effectively to management.

Maintain accurate records, KPIs, and reports to support operational decision-making.

Uphold health & safety standards in line with company policy.

Strong personality: confident enough to challenge processes and engage with senior management constructively.

Integrity & accountability: willing to own mistakes, learn from them, and implement corrective actions.

Previous experience in production planning, transport, or logistics within manufacturing.

Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.

Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and drive results.
