Job Vacancy: Cleaning Operative
Location: Leicestershire police, Melton Mowbray Police Station
Rate of Pay: £12.60
Hours will vary from week to week in line with business needs, but the position is flexible. Start time can be from 5am to 10am. Please contact for further information.
About the Role:
Solo Service Group is looking for a dedicated and flexible Commercial Mobile Cleaner to join our team, covering multiple sites as required. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across different locations, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for all staff and visitors. It is essential that the successful applicant is able to work as part as a team as well as use their own initiative.
This position requires a full UK driving licence, as a company van will be provided for travel between sites. Due to the nature of the work, police vetting will be required, which can take up to 2 months to process - as part of this, the applicant must have had residency for last 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing general cleaning duties including emptying bins, hoovering, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
Cleaning offices, cells, police vehicles, communal areas, kitchens, and restrooms.
Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables as needed.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines.
Adhering to security protocols while working within police facilities.
Responding to cleaning requirements at different locations as scheduled.
Reporting any maintenance issues or supply shortages to the supervisor.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (Essential).
Police vetting required due to the security-sensitive nature of the sites.
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites effectively.
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends if required.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
