Are you currently working in the Police Custody Environment, do you have 12 months+ experience?
Would you like a new career challenge managing a small team of HCPs within the Custody suites. You will need a real passion for developing clinical, forensic, and wider skills not just in yourself but your wider team.
What can I earn?
-£45,000 - £49,000 pa dependant on qualification to be discussed at interview
-However, with typical overtime shifts at premium rates, based on actual earlier data, that's another £3,500
-Refer a friend and receive £500
What are the minimum requirements?
-You'll be a qualified RN Adult, RMN (with dual registration), RGN or Paramedic
-Minimum of 12 months previous Police Custody experience, 4 years post NMC/HCPC registration experience in an environment such as General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk in Centre, Substance Misuse Service, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health, or Ambulance Service
-minimum 3 years UK residency
-You'll need a current driving license with no restrictions and use of your own car for travel to other custody suites or local hospitals.
-All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
What does the role involve?
Your main responsibility will be to lead a team of HCPs providing detained individuals with forensic assessments and assuring their care and wellbeing needs are met. Looking at rota gaps and covering as needed. You will manage the HCPs ensuring they are supervised and appraised appropriately. As a line manager, you will work as a part of an integrated team with the Clinical Lead HCP and Contract & Partnership Manager to ensure that the local processes follow National Clinical Governance Standards and the specific needs of Merseyside Police.
