Cheltenham Borough Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Supervisor to lead our Repairs, Voids, and Estates Maintenance teams. What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading and managing trade teams to deliver efficient, cost-effective repairs and void services
• Supporting recruitment, training, and development of staff to meet service priorities
• Overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with council policies and legislation
• Driving service improvements through performance monitoring, inspections, and risk assessments
• Deputising for the Operations Manager and stepping in during high-demand periods
What You’ll Bring:
• 5+ years’ experience in social housing repairs/voids, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Strong background in contractor and team management
• Excellent knowledge of housing repairs IT systems (e.g., DRS, Aareon, T100)
• Financial and performance management skills with a focus on KPIs and value for money
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
• Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Desirable Extras:
• Understanding of public sector challenges
• Experience with QL housing management software
• Familiarity with mobile working and job scheduling
