NCVS is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Volunteering Development Coordinator to join the team. This is a front-facing role dedicated to strengthening volunteering across Nottingham. You will be instrumental in increasing the quality and impact of volunteer leadership by building the capacity and capability of volunteer-involving organisations through strategic support and targeted training.
This is a full time (35 hours per week) role. Part time job shares will also be considered.
If you're a people person, passionate about ensuring volunteers are in the best of hands, and love training and developing people, we want to hear from you.
Key responsibilities are to:
• Actively conduct outreach and engagement with a diverse range of community groups and organisations across Nottingham City.
• Develop and deliver up to date and engaging training and support, focusing on volunteer leadership and management.
• Coordinate and facilitate the Nottingham City Leaders of Volunteers Network (LoVN), among others, arranging meetings and developing an annual work plan and resources to promote peer support and best practice.
Our ideal candidate will act as a positive ambassador for NCVS and will have proven experience in delivering training and mentoring to volunteer-involving organisations or directly managing volunteers. You will have strong organisational and project management skills, with a professional approach to managing a varied community-based workload.
A detailed job description and person specification is provided in the application pack.
