Counter Assistant
Location: On site. London, Denmark Hill
Salary: £29,050 – £30,100 per annum plus up to 12% Annual Bonus
Role Type: Permanent
KFM is looking for a motivated Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team at Denmark Hill. This is an
exciting opportunity to be part of a service that reinvests in the NHS and supports world-class patient care.
About the Role
As a Counter Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and patient-focused pharmacy service. Working
closely with pharmacists and other team members, you will ensure prescriptions are dispensed accurately and provide advice on
medicines and general health matters within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the ordering, storage, and management of retail medicines and products.
* Issue completed prescriptions to patients under the guidance of the Responsible Pharmacist.
* Provide advice on medicines and health-related queries, referring to a pharmacist when necessary.
* Maintain stock levels and ensure products are stored appropriately.
* Support the development and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Contribute to a high-quality outpatient service and promote excellent customer care.
About You
* GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science (Grade A–C) or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work accurately under pressure and as part of a team.
* Comprehensive IT and retail till skills.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including flexibility to meet service needs.
Additional Requirements: Enhanced DBS check required.
