Summary

Beth fydd y swydd yn ei olygu?
Byddwch yn gallu cynorthwyo plant a phobl ifanc i leisio eu barn a'u cefnogi i ddatblygu sgiliau tuag at eu dyfodol tymor hwy.
Byddwch yn gallu cynllunio a gweithredu sesiynau llawn dychymyg gyda'r person a fydd hefyd yn ei helpu i ddatblygu sgiliau.
Byddwch yn gallu deall bod rhai plant yn cyfathrebu eu teimladau ag ymddygiadau a byddwch yn gwneud hynny
bod ag agwedd ‘gallu gwneud’ i addysgu’r plentyn i gyfathrebu mewn ffordd wahanol, felly mae gweithio mewn tîm yn allweddol.
Byddwch yn gweithio fel rhan o dîm allan yn y gymuned neu yng nghartref y teulu. Byddai angen i chi allu ysgogi a chefnogi plant a phobl ifanc i gymryd rhan mewn ystod eang o ddiddordebau a gweithgareddau arbennig sy'n cefnogi eu hiechyd a'u lles.

We would welcome applications from highly motivated and committed individuals with experience of working with children and young people with a variety of needs. You will help support children/young people and their families during times of difficulty and stress, and work with families to prevent children being accommodated or rehabilitate them home quickly. You may also be asked to facilitate contact between children and their parents.
You will be expected to develop and implement a range of activities to meet the needs of the young person as part of an overall plan of support.

Just so you know, building positive and constructive relationships with the individuals you support is a vital component of being a valued support worker. Therefore, having a friendly and supportive nature with a positive outlook on life is essential.
Our support worker role can provide you with flexible hours to fit around your life, so a career in support work is a career with real variety.
The successful applicants will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the young people. This will include working evenings and weekends.
What will the job entail?
You will be able to assist children and young people to have their voice heard and support them to develop skills towards their longer term future.
You will be able to plan and implement imaginative sessions with the person that will also help them to develop skills.
You will be able to understand that some children communicate their feelings with behaviours and you will have a ‘can do’ approach to teach the child to communicate in a different way, so team working is key.
You will work as part of a team out in the community or in the family home. You would need to be able to motivate and support children and young people to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.
As a support worker you would need to demonstrate an ability to be creative and open minded as you assist people towards achieving their goals, whilst also helping the team to provide a safe, caring and learning experience for people young people.
Resilience is a must in our care sector. We all have our good and bad days and the ability to remain calm and supportive is a must have quality that you will need to demonstrate to work with us
There will be a requirement to work some unsocial hours such as weekends and evenings but we will work with you so you have a home / work life balance.
