As a Team Manager in our Refugee Service, you’ll lead a passionate team of social work professionals dedicated to supporting asylum-seeking young people. Your leadership will ensure high-quality, person-centred care that empowers these young people to feel safe, supported, and ready to build a new life in the UK.

Our team works with separated children, unaccompanied minors, and care leavers who are seeking safety in the UK, as well as families with No Recourse to Public Funds. We’re involved in every stage of their journey – from arrival and initial assessments to navigating the asylum process and supporting independence. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in an evolving, creative service.

What you’ll do
• Lead and motivate a team of Social Workers, Care Leaver Personal Advisors and Family Practitioners to deliver exceptional, child-centred services.
• Oversee casework and ensure compliance with safeguarding principles and statutory guidance.
• Manage budgets effectively, ensuring value for money and adherence to financial procedures.
• Build strong partnerships with multi-agency teams to enhance service delivery.
• Drive service development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for
• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and relevant legislation.
• Proven experience in care management and supervising social work practice.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and partnership-building skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in complex situations and manage competing priorities.
