An exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Barking and Dagenham (B&D) children's community physiotherapy team to deliver excellent assessment and treatment to the paediatric population and their families.



You will be required to work within a variety of settings in the community of B&D, including both mainstream and special schools, nurseries, clinic and home environments; delivering physiotherapy to a high standard and working alongside families, carers, and supporting education staff to enhance the lives of children and all involved.

You will be working as part of a wider team and MDT and will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust’s Values.

There are opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge and also to contribute to the CPD programme, for supervising B4 staff and also to join the preceptorship programme.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time).

You will be working alongside the team to deliver physiotherapy to the children within the London Borough of B&D. Working with children from 0-19 and their families, you will see a variety of conditions, covering from musculo-skeletal complaints to complex neuro-disabilities.
