Crynodeb

Meet Finlay – a clever, funny, and kind young boy with a big curiosity about the world around him. He has a passion for learning, nature, enjoys playing in the garden, cycling, swimming, reading, and visiting bookshops like Waterstones. Finlay also has a great sense of humour and enjoys good chats, comfort food, and exploring new places.

We’re looking for a Personal Assistant who can help Finlay live life to the fullest. Someone who shares his enthusiasm for learning and knowledge, nature, and outdoor adventures.

This is a physically active roll which may require the PA’s participation in Finlay’s activities. A typical day in Finlay's life would be going for a swim or a cycle, visiting a local park, forest, or bookshop, helping him with everyday tasks like tying shoelaces, shopping, or taking public transport, supporting him in understanding communication and social situations, and encouraging confidence and independence in daily life.

Finlay would love to work with someone who is patient, understanding, and caring. Someone calm and positive, especially during moments of stress or change also, someone with great communication skills, happy to chat about his favourite topics, and finally, an experienced person who would be able to support children or young people with Autism and ADHD. An understanding of how to provide a sense of safety, structure, and routine is essential.

Finlay lives in Hamilton, so it’s important you’re comfortable working in this area.

This role involves 3 hours per week at £12.60 per hour, days and times are flexible.

Experience with Autism and ADHD essential.

A driving licence is essential; mileage will be reimbursed.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
