Summary
We are a small, passionate domiciliary care company based in Consett. As we build our service, we are looking for reliable, compassionate, and experienced local people to join us and grow alongside our business.
You will play a vital role in supporting individuals to remain safe, independent, and happy in their own homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing personal care.
Supporting clients with mobility and transfers (to include gentle exercise).
Preparing meals, helping with light household tasks.
Driving clients to appointments or social outings.
Following detailed, person-centred care plans.
Accurately recording care provided and reporting any concerns.
Offering companionship, emotional support and good conversation.
A commitment to high standards and learning.
What We're Looking For:
A big heart, a genuine interest in people and a strong commitment to caring.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
Previous experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
The ability to work across all shift patterns during the week, weekends and school holidays.
The ability to start work as soon as possible.
The ability to be flexible with work patterns as we expand the service.
Preference will be given to those on DBS update service.
Ability to follow care plans and work independently.
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in written and spoken English to facilitate clear and regular communication.
Confident using IT for care records (training provided).
Must have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
