The Governors of Seymour Park Community Primary School are seeking to appoint a skilled and dedicated HLTA who has a passion for supporting children with cognition and learning needs.

The HLTA will work in partnership with our staff and parents to engage, inspire and challenge learners. If you have a passion for inspiring young learners, working in a wonderful community and being part of a large supportive team, then we would love to hear from you.

HLTA Cognition and Learning Needs Details

HLTA with specific responsibility for children with cognition and learning needs. This includes moderate, specific, severe and profound multiple learning difficulties. This is a highly specialised role and experience of delivering support for children with cognition and learning is essential.

The role will be split between:

Supporting children with cognition and learning needs inside and outside of the classroom.

Working alongside school staff to: identify and assess needs; coordinate provision at all stages; liaise closely with partners to maximise external support; develop close partnerships with parents; coach and train staff to support children’s needs effectively; manage SEND systems and processes to deadlines, including referrals.

A key member of the Pupil Support Team including SENDCO and HLTAS for all broad areas of need.
