Summary
Job Purpose:
· The Healthcare Assistant will contribute to the assessment, implementation, and delivery of high-quality patient care within the Specialist Continence team.
· Will demonstrate responsibility to patients, relatives, and colleagues through contribution to the development and monitoring of agreed evidence-based practice and to the health and social care programmes.
· To provide a comprehensive call answering and administration support service for the continence prescription service.
· To liaise with patients regarding their continence product needs, generate prescriptions, and provide correspondence to other health service professionals.
• Undertake agreed activities as delegated by a registered nurse, with patients / service users under the direct /In-direct supervision of the qualified staff.
• Display and maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring all service users have a positive experience of the Continence Prescription Service.
• To respond to any requests for product information and samples, sending them out in a timely manner.
• Produce reports, letters and spreadsheets as appropriate in the agreed format and time.
• Ensure that access to files in the computer is password controlled to maintain security.
• Adhere to trust policy at all times.
