Our Receiving & Delivery Porters play a crucial role in the delivery of parcels across the hospital and the provision of stock to wards and departments.
Every day, the Receiving & Delivery team manages a busy flow of stock and parcels, handling between 30–70 cages of stock each morning, plus 200–500 courier deliveries throughout the day.
Our Porters are essential in keeping the hospital running smoothly, and we take pride in providing a high-quality, reliable service.
The Role
Work effectively as part of a team, supporting all aspects of the working environment
Assist with the receipt of parcels and goods at the hospital’s dedicated delivery points
Ensure onward distribution of parcels and stock cages to departments and wards using PDAs and roll cages
Uphold our Health & Safety values, maintaining a secure and safe environment at all times
Ensure accuracy in line with our standards
Represent our team professionally, always keeping client satisfaction in mind
About You
Demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive approach to work
Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Possess effective communication skills
Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude
Able to work well under pressure
Show exceptional reliability and punctuality
Enjoy an active workday, delivering across a large hospital site
Full driving licence preferred, as role may involve use of an electric tug
