About the role:
Horizon Teachers are seeking ICT Teacher to assess an engaging lessons in Information and Communication Technology across Key Stages 5. The ideal candidate will foster curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving through the effective use of technology and real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality ICT lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school standards.
- Inspire students to explore computing, coding, digital literacy, and emerging technologies.
- Develop and implement creative, student-centered learning experiences.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and integrate new developments in ICT education.
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school digital initiatives.
Requirements:
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. , PGCE, B.Ed , or equivalent).
- A degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven classroom teaching experience in ICT or Computing.
- Strong knowledge of programming, digital systems, and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and inclusive teaching practices.
Desirable:
- Experience with [specific platforms or tools such as Python, Scratch, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.].
- Involvement in extracurricular technology clubs or competitions (e.g. , robotics, coding clubs).
