Pay Rate: £15.79 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 37
Contract Length: 3 months with possible extension
Location: Wigston, Leicestershire LE18 1WX
Our client is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Co-ordinator to assess, review and manage referrals concerning adults and children at risk. You will conduct risk assessments, compile reports, share information with partner agencies and internal stakeholders, and attend multi-agency and disclosure meetings as required. The role focuses on safeguarding and reducing risk through effective decision-making and partnership working.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and assess safeguarding referrals for both adults and children.
Compile accurate and concise reports using data from various information systems.
Attend and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding meetings.
Identify high-risk cases and ensure appropriate escalation.
Share information proportionately with relevant partners.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection principles.
Provide safeguarding guidance and advice to colleagues.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent experience) in English Language.
Experience handling confidential information.
Strong analytical, investigative and report-writing skills.
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Skilled in using Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
Experience working in a safeguarding or multi-agency environment.
Understanding of data protection and diversity principles.
Competent keyboard and minute-taking skills.
