Salary: £12.50 per hour
Job Type: Temporary, with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:45
- Friday: 08:00 - 12:00
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated General Operative to join our team. Previous experience in a general operative or similar role is beneficial but not essential. We welcome candidates with a willingness to learn new skills and contribute to a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining work areas, ensuring spaces are clean and organized
- Handle materials and equipment required for ongoing projects
- Safely move, lift, carry, and store goods and components
- Provide support to team members and departments as needed
- Carry out assembly and general labour tasks to support business operations
- Conduct basic maintenance on tools, equipment, and facilities
- Report any issues or damage to equipment or workspaces promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments as required
- Flexibly adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as they arise
Skills & Qualifications:
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual labour tasks
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands and priorities
- No formal academic qualifications required
