Learning Support WorkerLocation: Peterborough and Stamford CollegeSalary: £24,080 per annum (Point 14) – pro rataHours: 16-35 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term-time only)Contract: PermanentClosing date: 25th November 2025Make a difference every dayAre you passionate about helping young people reach their full potential?We’re looking for a caring and motivated Learning Support Worker to join our friendly Additional Learning Support (ALS) team at Peterborough and Stamford College.This is a rewarding role where you’ll support students with a range of learning needs to engage fully in college life, build their confidence, and achieve their goals.What you’ll be doingProviding one-to-one and small group support to learners with additional needsHelping students stay focused, motivated, and engaged in their lessonsSupporting the development of literacy, numeracy, and study skillsEncouraging learner independence, confidence, and self-esteemUsing assistive technology and tailored strategies to remove barriers to learningWorking closely with teaching staff and the wider ALS team to deliver excellent, person-centred supportKeeping accurate records and contributing to reviews and learner progress trackingAbout youWe’re looking for someone who is:Compassionate, patient, and encouragingAble to communicate clearly and build positive relationshipsOrganised and reliable, with good attention to detailConfident using Microsoft Office and basic IT toolsCommitted to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive learningExperience working with learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities would be an advantage, but it’s not essential — we’ll provide training and ongoing professional development.You should hold Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSEs Grade C/4 or equivalent) and ideally a Level 2 qualification in Learning Support (or be willing to work towards it).Why join us?At Peterborough and Stamford College, part of the Inspire Education Group (IEG), you’ll be part of a supportive and dedicated team that genuinely cares about every learner’s success.
