Support frontline policing by managing the parts that keep our fleet on the road
As a Workshop Stores Assistant, you will be accountable for procuring the correct parts for the best value before booking them onto the correct vehicles. You will also assist in the introduction of business and process change to improve efficiencies and reduce costs.
What you’ll be doing
-Ensure efficient and effective control and monitoring processes are adhered to for stock management.
-Order vehicle and associated parts from approved suppliers in accordance with -Force and workshop policies.
-Issue vehicle and related parts to maintenance staff and other authorised staff upon submission of approved documentation.
The must haves
-Knowledge of vehicle components with the ability to identify the necessary component required.
-Experience of working in a Stores/Parts Department environment serving the needs of a large and varied vehicle fleet.
-Experience in the extensive use of Stores/Parts computer systems.
