Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Apprentice Level 3 with the 4th year aiming to achieve an Electric Vehicle and IRTEC qualifications.

Are you passionate about vehicles and looking to start a career in the motor industry?

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our workshop team as a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Apprentice.

This hands on role will give you the opportunity to earn while you learn gaining valuable practical experience alongside a nationally recognised Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification.

You will work with experienced technicians to learn how to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy goods and municipal vehicles that keep our community running.

What You will Be Doing
Working towards achieving a Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Assisting experienced technicians in carrying out routine servicing and maintenance tasks.
Learning how to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults.
Supporting repairs and replacements of key components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems.
Helping to conduct vehicle inspections, ensuring all documentation meets legal and safety standards.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and parts used.
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed.

What We are Looking For
We are looking for someone who&©s enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn. You will be supported every step of the way to develop your skills and knowledge.

Essential Requirements:
Basic awareness of automotive systems, tools, and workshop safety procedures.
A genuine interest in mechanical work and vehicle technology.
To be able to travel to Doncaster

Desirable Requirements:
A current, valid UK driving licence.
Experience in a vehicle repair environment, ideally supporting heavy goods or municipal vehicles.
Understanding of legal and compliance requirements in vehicle maintenance.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, Grade C / 4 or above.
Level 1 or 2 qualification in vehicle or machine repair.
Previous experience carrying out basic servicing or inspections on light or heavy vehicles.
Experience working with local authority fleets or plant machinery.

Personal Qualities:
A strong willingness to learn and complete a Level 3 qualification.
Team oriented with a positive attitude.
Passionate about delivering quality work.
