Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks - involves shift work and weekend working
You will work as part of the management team at Northfield House to ensure young people have the best support, care and guidance, linked to the aspirations contained within the Promise, to reach their full potential.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leadership team committed to supporting young people. You will have a lead role in supporting and supervising Residential Care Officers as they work with the young people who call Northfield their home.

You will support the Team Leader to implement and lead departmental developments within Northfield. You will have the opportunity to be involved in service developments out with the house.
The Team Leader will provide you with ongoing support and supervision which focuses on practice and personal development goals
Experience required;
* Hold appropriate qualifications for "Residential Child Care Workers with Supervisory Responsibility" as laid down by the Scottish Social Services Council
* Appropriate registration for the position with the Scottish Social Services Council. (If Not currently held then this must be achieved within the timescales as laid out by the SSSC
* Direct experience of working with young people who are Looked After.
* Previous experience of working with young people in a residential setting.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
