We are looking for a skilled and motivated Plasterer with multi-skilling to join our dedicated Repairs and Maintenance team, providing a responsive repair, maintenance and voids service to residential properties across Blackpool.

About the Role
You will carry out a general repairs service using a range of multi-skilled techniques as detailed in the Person Specification skills matrix. This includes completing tasks related to your main trade, along with additional duties to deliver a high-quality service to our customers.
All work must comply with Health and Safety legislation and Awaab’s Law including adherence to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and the correct use of PPE. You will be responsible for maintaining tools, equipment and vehicles, carrying out daily safety checks and always ensuring cleanliness. Regular communication with your manager is required, ensuring your PDA and lone working device are fully operational and any safety issues or property defects are reported promptly.
Flexibility across different trade tasks is essential, along with a commitment to upholding BCH’s values and delivering excellent customer service.
The Ideal Candidate Must Possess:
• An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a construction trade, specifically plastering
• Experience of multi-skilled work including tiling, joinery, decorating and plumbing (as detailed in the Person Specification skills matrix)
• A sound understanding of Health and Safety requirements
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and deliver results as part of a team
Experience working within Housing Associations or in managing repairs is desirable but not essential.
Additional Requirements
• A full, current UK driving licence (a company van will be provided for travel to and from work and for use during working hours only)
• A satisfactory Basic DBS check (formerly CRB)
• Flexible approach to working arrangements to meet service demands
