Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic literacy and numeracy teacher to deliver 3 hours of literacy and numeracy a week (term time only)
You will be working with learners not in mainstream education delivering Entry 3 to level 1.
You will deliver 1.5 hours of literacy and 1.5 hours of numeracy working towards functional skills exams.We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves providing personalised instruction and support to students in various subjects, fostering a positive learning environment, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of each student.
Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to develop effective learning plans.
Provide clear explanations of concepts and encourage critical thinking skills.
Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching strategies.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
Maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes learning and confidence.
Qualifications
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young adults.
Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and effectively.
Ability to build rapport with students and create a trusting relationship conducive to learning.
Patience, adaptability, and creativity in teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
