We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Administrator to join our Group Finance team at Amey Office, Westmarch House, 42 Eaton Avenue, Matrix Park, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 7NA.– This role will offer hybrid working.
The standard hours of work are Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week – flexible to you.
The Finance Administrator plays an important part role in the team. You will be tasked to process utility bills and handle utility queries, primarily in the Northern Ireland region.
You will be responsible for:
Analysing and processing utility bills onto a Sharepoint database.
Setting up utility accounts for around 250 properties.
Resolving issues from Operations, including the exchange of prepayment meters.
Establishing best practices and an appropriate BAU process.
Building relationships with suppliers and operations to ensure the smooth running of processes
Support / cover for the existing Finance Administrators who are doing the same role for GB Mainland suppliers.
Support / cover for Finance Supervisor in dealing with our primary GB Mainland utility provider OVO.
Support / cover for Finance Transactional Team in SAP based tasks, including processing non-utility invoices for Amey Defence Services Ltd, payment runs and daily cashbooks.
Support / cover for Finance Supervisor in managing the Buckshaw office.
We want to hear from you if you have:
5 GCSE passes including Maths and English
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong numerical capability.
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to use own initiative.
Previous experience in finance based administrative role.
Comfortable communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborative and committed to building positive working relationships.
