What skills and experience we're looking for
Kingsway Community Trust wishes to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and talented teaching assistant to join the Reception team at Green End Primary, supporting children individually and in small groups, supporting learning, social and pastoral development. The position is for maternity cover and will run from January 2026 for a one year contract or until the person returns from maternity leave, whichever is sooner.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual. They will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents. A very strong commitment to raising aspiration and attainment in an urban setting is essential. This role includes lunchtime supervision. Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in these areas is part of the interview process.
We offer strongprofessional development and a number of our TAs go on to teacher training
First stage assessments: 2 December
Second stage assessments/interviews: 5 December
Level 2, Grade 3 £25,185 pro rata, 35 hours per week, term time only, equates to apx £21,662 per annum

Kingsway Community Trust is a Multi Academy Trust based in South Manchester. The Trust is comprised of three, primary schools; Ladybarn Primary School, Cringle Brook Primary and Green End Primary School.
The Trust is led and managed by one Executive Headteacher and a Trust Board. In each school there is a full time Head of School who leads and manages alongside the Executive Headteacher.
