Are you a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a major project with one of the UK's leading contractors?
We're working with a Tier 1 main contractor on an exciting £75m hotel redevelopment in Central London. The project involves a full refit of guest rooms and communal areas, alongside structural works to modernise and upgrade the existing building. With a 92-week programme, this scheme offers genuine exposure to large-scale, complex construction, the perfect opportunity to develop your experience and work closely with a talented commercial team.
As the Number 2 QS on the project, you'll support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in all aspects of cost management, procurement, and subcontractor coordination from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the commercial and financial aspects of the £75m hotel project
- Oversee valuations, variations, and subcontractor payments
- Manage procurement packages and contribute to cost forecasting
- Support cost reporting and ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Collaborate closely with site and design teams to ensure quality and profitability
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting (hotel, fit-out, or mixed-use experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and confident communication skills
- Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work within a fast-paced team
