Summary
Night Duty Manager - (40 hours)

Rockliffe Hall is an AA-rated 5 red star resort set within 375 acres outside the village of Hurworth, near Darlington in County Durham. It offers 61 spacious guestrooms and suites; two bars; three restaurants including the flagship restaurant ‘The Orangery’, ‘The Brasserie’ and ‘The Clubhouse’; 12 meeting and event rooms; an 18-hole championship golf course; and a 50,000 square foot, award-winning spa and wellness centre offering luxurious treatments and a 20 metre indoor swimming pool.
We are now seeking an experienced Night Duty Manager to join the Front of House team. Reporting to the Front of House Manager, the Night Duty Manager will mainly be responsible for ensuring a smooth and seamless service for all guests and preparing the resort for a new day’s business. The role will include:
Meeting and greeting all guests to the resort in a friendly, approachable and professional manner
Assisting guests with their luggage
Providing a seamless valet service; parking and retrieving guests’ vehicles when required
Dealing with any guest requests and requirements positively and efficiently, this may include hiring transport, recommending restaurants, arranging flights and booking theatre tickets
Having a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, services, special events and promotions
Ensuring guest messages and faxes are delivered promptly
Ensuring the Nights Team meet and exceed guest expectations at all times
Preventing and dealing with guest queries and complaints
Ensuring all hotel amenities are available and ready for guests
Our ideal candidate will:
Have the flexibility and experience of working in a night operation and dealing with the challenges that can bring
Have previous managerial or supervisory experience
Be used to delivering a high level of personal, skilled service and have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
Be able to organise themselves, use their initiative and take personal responsibility for the operation
Have a proven track record in a similar role in a hospitality operation.
Have IT and numeracy skills
Have a full clean driving license
