About the role
A cross-functional role supporting procurement, operations, customer insights, and our planned move into wholesale. You’ll connect with Chinese-speaking suppliers, streamline store/online workflows, and turn customer feedback into practical actions.
Responsibilities
Procurement liaison: raise POs, compare quotes, coordinate deliveries, and handle basic contract/admin with suppliers in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Process improvement: map key store/online/wholesale workflows, track simple KPIs (e.g., availability, fulfilment time), and keep SOPs up to date.
Customer and market insights: run Chinese/English surveys/intercepts, summarise findings, and propose actions for product mix, pricing, or promos.
Bilingual communications: draft brief leaflets, in-store notices, and social posts to promote products and events; support community outreach.
Wholesale rollout support: help prepare price lists, client onboarding docs, and order-to-cash routines for customers.
Requirements
Fluent in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese (spoken and written).
2+ years in retail/wholesale operations, procurement, or business support (Asian grocery experience a plus).
Comfortable with Excel/Sheets and clear reporting; strong attention to detail.
Cultural fluency with Chinese business practices; confident written communication in both languages.
