The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Credit Control Administrator to join the firm's established Finance team based in Edinburgh.
This part-time position plays a key role in supporting the Credit Control function and ensuring the smooth and timely collection of outstanding client fees. You will work closely with the Credit Control Manager and wider Finance team to maintain contact with clients, manage account queries, and assist with cash allocation and payment processing.
Initially, the role will be office-based; however, hybrid working is available in the long term through the company's flexible working policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Credit Control Manager with the collection of outstanding client fees through effective communication by phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Partners and fee earners, to resolve billing and payment-related queries.
- Prepare entries for fee payments and assist with cash allocation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the Credit Control function.
About You
- Previous experience in a Credit Control or Finance Administration role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Professional and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a courteous telephone manner.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Team player who enjoys contributing to a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Training will be provided on in-house systems and finance platforms used within the organisation.
