We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, inclusive, organised and caring individual with leadership qualities to support people to achieve greater independence where possible as well as ensure a high standard of quality of life for the people supported who have longer term support, care and housing needs. You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage their own time and manage tasks within the team to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality support.
As this is a senior position, it is essential that you have experience of supporting individuals with mental health needs/learning disabilities. You must be able to demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a drive to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
This post is an ideal opportunity to become involved in the delivery of a high quality service, giving real job satisfaction whilst utilising your experience in a senior position. You will have excellent line management support and development from the Non-Registered Service Manager. You will join an established and experienced team. This is a great opportunity for a person seeking to develop their career in leadership and management. The role is fully supported through a probation period with consistent supervision and access to training to assist your learning and development.
Senior Support Worker Duties:
Supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff
Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users
Supporting the team leader to manage multi-agency working to ensure consistency and a coordinated service support is provided to all
Enabling service users to gain independence, confidence and competence in areas, such as social skills/relationships, personal care and hygiene, daily living and many more
Supporting service users with the activities they enjoy in and around the Norton area
Working on a rota basis, covering 7 days a week
