This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Trelissick to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.

Salary: £12.25 per hour

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ working pattern: Part-time, 9 hours per week. This will be split over 3 days (Sun, Mon, Tue all at 3hrs per day = 9 in total).

Trelissick has one of the most amazing natural settings in the country. Situated on our own peninsula, we enjoy stunning, ever-changing views of the Fal estuary, this location is famous as a Cornish estate with 30 acres of garden, historic parkland and woodland with its miles of creek side and woodland walks.We’ve been open to visitors since the 1950’s when Trelissick was gifted to the National Trust, but since 2013 we’ve seen some big changes. What you'll be doing
You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
