A warm, inclusive primary school in the Culcheth area is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 1. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on making a real difference to children who need consistent, nurturing support.
The role
• Working closely with a KS1 child with additional needs, providing tailored 1:1 support
• Supporting the class teacher with targeted interventions and structured routines
• Helping to implement individual learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive social interaction
• Creating a calm, supportive learning space that suits the child's needs
What the school is looking for
• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally within KS1
• Understanding of strategies for communication, emotional regulation and behaviour
• A patient, resilient and caring approach
• Someone who can build trust quickly and work collaboratively with staff and parents
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential with strong experience)
