BACKGROUND:
One full-time machine operative with warehouse duties has come up based in West Pinchbeck in a family-run online gift business with additional packing responsibilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are primarily looking for a machine operative who will be required to operate one or more machines that the organisation uses to produce the personalised gifts the company sells online. The candidate will also be required to pack gifts and keep the warehouse tidy. The candidate MUST have a high attention to detail to produce these products and all tasks MUST be completed to a high level of quality at all times
This position is an opportunity for working in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
Machine Operative Duties include:
PLEASE NOTE: TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED
- Finding standard products from the warehouse
- Checking, preparing and setting up the product(s) on the machinery ready to be personalised
- Inputting customers' personalised messages onto a computer programme linked to the machinery and checking this has been done so correctly.
- Using one or more of the company's machines to process the personalised gift(s), exactly to customer specifications
- Checking to ensure quality and finishing the item off ready to be packed.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the production team, including packing the gifts for shipment
Skills:
- Computer literate (essential)
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a team and to work independently when required
- Ability to use common sense
- Ability to produce high quality work on a consistent basis (training will be given)
- Ability to ensure attention to detail (essential)
Training:
- Full in-house training on how to use machinery will be provided
- Full in-house training on how to pack orders to the required level of quality will be provided
Extra Information:
Working Hours: Over the Christmas period, your standard hours will be Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm with additional hours as required to help meet demand, i.e. 8am to 7pm etc for example and some weekends, therefore FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED.
Pay: £14/hour PAYE depending on experience
