Day-to-day of the role:
Managing Sales Revenue:
- Support the sales team with creating and following up on quotes, orders, and invoices.
- Monitor and record all sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile sales accounts and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Manage and maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments.
Managing Customer Accounts:
- Maintain detailed records of customer accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and up to date.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepancies.
- Support credit control processes, including credit checks and limits.
- Manage customer contacts and maintain the CRM database.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand business needs and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to ensure smooth sales operations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline sales accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting procedures and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have fluent German
- Must be able to communicate efficiently in English.
- Must be located in Frankfurt/Main or nearby, Hessen
- 1–3 years of experience as a financial accountant, accounts receivable accountant, or in a similar role.
- Completed qualification as a financial accountant or in a related field. A formal qualification as a Bilanzbuchalter would be a nice to have.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- General understanding of German accounting standards (HGB) and IFRS. Knowledge of tax regulations, especially VAT and sales tax, is a big plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the trading card industry is a plus but not required.
