We’re now looking for aHealth & Safety Senior Advisorto join our dedicated Safety Team — a passionate professional who can bring leadership, innovation and expertise to our health and safety transformation journey.

As our newHealth & Safety Senior Advisor, you’ll be a key member of our Safety Team, working closely with theHealth and Safety Managerto provide expert guidance and leadership across the organisation. You’ll drive forward health and safety transformation, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring our systems and practices support a safe, effective and high-quality environment for staff, patients and visitors.

You’ll take a leading role in delivering the Trust’s Health and Safety strategy — translating vision into tangible results through clear milestones, KPIs and measurable outcomes. You’ll work collaboratively with Clinical Business Units, Corporate Directorates and operational teams to identify, manage and monitor health and safety risks, ensuring compliance and continual improvement.

Your work will involve:
• Providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of health and safety management.
• Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of Trust-wide Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems.
• Leading on safety transformation projects and cultural change initiatives.
• Conducting inspections, training, and promoting proactive safety management across all levels of the organisation.
• Ensuring effective investigation, reporting and learning from incidents, near misses and safety concerns.

About You:

You’ll be an experienced and passionate Health & Safety professional with:
• A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
• AMaster’s degree(or equivalent qualification/experience) in a relevant subject area.
• Demonstrable experience of leading health and safety change and improvement in a complex organisation.
• Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others.
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
