• Have the highest expectations of children and yourself

• Deliver a carefully sequenced curriculum
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice
• Employ adaptive teaching strategies
• Accurately assess pupils’ work using a range of methods
• Support effective learning behaviours
• Be open to professional development opportunities
Main Purpose of Job
• To plan, deliver and assess high-quality teaching in an inclusive and positive environment
• To demonstrate effective classroom management which nurtures all pupils and strengthens social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH)
Main Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and deliver highly effective lessons across the curriculum
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND
• Assess, record and report on pupils’ progress and development
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage pupil behaviour effectively and promote positive relationships.
• Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and colleagues
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen learning experiences
• Participate in evidence-based, professional development opportunities
• Promote a love of learning and encourage curiosity and creativity
