About Us
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting Fabricator / Welder in Coalville on a temp to perm basis
This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Fabricator / Welder to have stable and continued growth in an industry they enjoy.
The Welder / Fabricator is accountable to the Fabrication Manager to ensure fabrication, welding & associated jobs are completed in line with company time, quality & safety standards.
What's in it for you?
• £14 - £16 per hour depending on experience, salary negotiable. PM shift will have a shift allowance
• Monday - Friday, day shift or afternoon shift available. AM- Monday to Friday, 6.00am - 2.15pm PM- Monday to Thursday, 2.15pm - 00.30am
• Temp to perm role

Essential Requirements
• MUST be able to fabricate as well as weld, three years' experience at least please.
• Welding certification
• Experience in design for manufacture and assembly
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Know how to calculate the dimensions of parts to be welded
About the Role
• Perform fabrication and welding processes, as required, within individual skill and knowledge scope
• Work closely with other team members across all processes.
• Ensure all appropriate individual paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Take responsibility to ensure individual production complies with company quality and safety policies. Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Display a flexible work ethic in relation to timekeeping and cross functioning.
• Confers with supervisor to establish production and quality control standards.
• Inspects work in progress and finished products to ensure that production is in line with quality standards as required by supervisor.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product at regular MRMP meetings or as required.
