Summary
For full details please read the attached Job Description and Person Specification. The role of the Healthcare Assistant in the Operating Theatres is vital and full training will be given. Your role will include: Preparation of operating Theatres for surgery. Setting up equipment, instruments, inputting data onto computers. Cleaning and maintaining the Theatres and store areas. Assisting the Theatre practitioners during Theatre lists. Assisting in the anaesthetic room prior to surgery. Assist the scrub practitioner with the collection of all relevant packs and instrumentation for the operating session. Ensure that the Theatres and scrub areas are equipped and ready. Assist with circulating duties under the supervision of the registered practitioner. Undertake other duties as directed by the Theatre staff. Maintain Theatre stock levels and participate in the ordering of replacements. As part of the Theatre team ensure the care and cleanliness of Theatres and all specialised equipment.
