Client: North Yorkshire Council
Location: White Rose House, Northallerton, DL6 2NA
Role Overview
North Yorkshire Council is seeking experienced Building Surveyors to support a major project with Align Property Services, reviewing housing stock across Selby, Harrogate, and Richmondshire. This is a technical role within Building Services & Maintenance, ensuring housing stock is assessed, maintained, and compliant.
The assignment runs until March 2026 (with potential extension), offering a chance to contribute to a high-profile project within the Community Development team.
️ Key Responsibilities
Review and assess housing stock across Selby, Harrogate, and Richmondshire
Conduct surveys, inspections, and compliance checks
Provide accurate reports and recommendations for remedial works
Ensure all work meets statutory and council standards
Collaborate with Align Property Services and council teams to deliver project outcomes
✅ Candidate Requirements
Fully trained and qualified Building Surveyor
Strong technical knowledge of housing stock and property compliance
Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
⏰ Assignment Details
Start Date: 16 November 2025
End Date: 30 March 2026 (may be extended)
Hours: 37 per week
Shift Times: 08:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
Pay Rates
PAYE: £26.38 per hour
Umbrella/Ltd: £33.18 per hour
