What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a diligent and committed Attendance Manager to join our “greatly valued” Pastoral and Safeguarding Team (Ofsted Inspection, 2024). Our Pastoral and Safeguarding Team are central to the progress of all our pupils and the successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work as a crucial part of a thriving and successful team, in a busy office environment focused on ensuring all our pupils are safe, happy and able to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of day-to-day pupil attendance at Toynbee. This encompasses the oversight and implementation of our daily attendance processes, analysing data to identify key areas of concern, supporting our Guidance Managers and Safeguarding Team to help to improve attendance for persistently absent pupils, working closely with parents and carers, and enacting safeguarding procedures as appropriate, reporting directly to the Senior Leadership Team. Whilst pupil attendance at Toynbee is above the national average, we are consistently striving to improve in this area.

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent IT skills, specifically data processing and Office 365. Strong organisational skills, along with the ability to work to deadlines, are essential. Candidates should have a good level of literacy and numeracy (equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English) and excellent inter-personal skills.

• Private Bupa Healthcare
• 1 personal day per year in addition to your annual leave entitlement
