Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Ofsted “Good”, 2-bed)
Location: Salford
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE) + £5,000 annual bonus
Incentive: Eligible for the Management Incentive Plan
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a well-established 2-bed Children’s Home, rated “Good” by Ofsted. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real impact in the lives of young people while further developing their leadership career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
The Role
• Lead and manage all aspects of the home’s operations to ensure a safe, nurturing and high-quality environment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s individual needs.
• Recruit, develop and retain a skilled, motivated staff team.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare legislation, National Minimum Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
• Maintain financial and commercial oversight of the home, ensuring performance aligns with budget expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to promote the welfare and development of young people.
Candidate Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to begin within 6 months of appointment).
• Strong understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, and current childcare legislation.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting children and young people with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties.
• Full UK driving licence required.
