Job Title: Afterschool Club – Playworker
Actual Annual Salary: £2,804 – £2,886 (Based on hours and weeks worked)
Full Time Equivalent Salary: £24,819 - £25,545 (CLF Grade Aii). Based on 37 hours per week, All year round.
Contract Type: Part time, Term time only, Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026.Hours: 5 hours per week
Additional role information: This role will involve working Thursday & Friday, 2.5 hours per afternoon.

We are looking for a new After School Playworker to join our supportive and talented team at Begbrook Academy. If you are caring, responsible, and enthusiastic about creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children at the end of their school day, we would love to hear from you. This role is ideal for someone who can use their initiative, build positive relationships, and support children's wellbeing through play.
About you:
You will have:
an understanding of the varied needs of children and families.
knowledge of basic food hygiene standards.
the ability to maintain confidentiality over matters relating to the academy, with students, staff and parents.
the skills to provide and facilitate safe and stimulating play activities.
capabilities of working within a team environment but also using own initiative.

Begbrook Academy is a three-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol. Our school population is culturally, socially and economically diverse.
