Third Hand Care is recruiting Home Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our friendly, growing team in Farnham, Aldershot & Farnborough.

The Role:
As a Home Care Assistant, you will support adults in their own homes, helping them to stay safe, comfortable and independent.
You’ll be:
Visiting clients in the community.
Building trusting relationships with clients and their families.
Working closely with our office and on-call team so you always feel supported.
We have a variety of shifts available, including mornings, evenings and weekends, and can discuss a pattern that works for you and our clients.
Typical Responsibilities
Every client is different, but your duties may include:
Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) where required.
Medication prompts and recording.
Meal preparation and promoting good nutrition and hydration.
Companionship – having a chat, offering emotional support and reducing loneliness.
Supporting with shopping, appointments and local outings.
Light household tasks, such as tidying and laundry.
Recording visits accurately in our electronic care system.
Full training is provided, and new staff shadow experienced carers until they feel confident.
What We’re Looking For:
You don’t need previous professional care experience – the right values and attitude are more important. We are looking for people who are:
Kind, patient and reliable.
Able to work early mornings, evenings and/or alternate weekends.
Willing to travel between visits (drivers with access to a car are especially welcome, but we also have roles for non-drivers in some areas).
Eligible to work in the UK and able to provide references and an enhanced DBS check (paid for by us).
